Description
Western House is an early to mid-19th century building in West Cliff. It is stuccoed and has a hipped pantile roof. The front elevation features two two-storey splayed bays with sashes lacking glazing bars, each adorned with a cornice. A central pilastered doorcase is topped by a cornice and a rectangular fanlight, and contains a modern glazed door. The rear (south) elevation, facing New Street, also has two storeys and two windows, with sashes containing glazing bars. A central doorway is topped by an entablature, and features a glazed door and rectangular fanlight. Western House is part of a group of listed buildings in West Cliff, which includes the listed buildings in Jetty Street, High Street and Jetty Cliff.
