Description
31 Garden Street is an early 19th-century building with a stuccoed exterior and a hipped pantile roof. It features overhanging eaves supported by small paired shaped brackets. The building stands three storeys tall and has two windows. The second-floor window on the left is a sash with glazing bars, while the right side has bay windows on the first and second floors, and a bay window on the left side's first floor. These bay windows are also sashes with glazing bars and rounded sides, adorned with decorative mouldings, friezes, and a cornice. The ground floor has a projecting 19th-century shop front with pilasters and a cornice, new glazed and panelled doors, and a simple plank door on the right. The Wellington Public House and Nos 31, 33, and 35 form a group.
