Description
Home House is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of High Street. It is constructed of painted brick and features a low-pitched hipped roof covered with black-glazed pantiles, supported by paired brackets at the overhanging eaves. The building stands three storeys tall and has four windows, which are sashes with glazing bars. Notably, there is a bay window on the first floor to the left of the centre, also with sashes that have glazing bars and rounded corners, topped with a cornice. The ground floor includes a mid-19th-century shop window that is flanked by fluted Ionic pilasters, with a fascia and cornice above the shop and doorway. Home House is part of a group of listed buildings on High Street, which also includes all listed buildings in Jetty Street, Jetty Cliff, and West Cliff.
