Description

This is an 18th-century barn located immediately east of Limetree Farmhouse. It is constructed in Flemish stretcher bond, featuring single stretcher courses that alternate with stretcher header courses. The barn has a pantile roof with parapeted gable ends, which include tumbling-in and a small brick finial. It consists of seven bays and has integral outshuts, with the southeast outshut containing a midstrey that has plank double doors. There are small owl holes in the gable apexes. Inside, the barn features principal rafters with collars and tenoned purlins, alternate trusses with tie-beams, and intact common rafters.
