Description

Nos 5 and 6 on Stody Road are a pair of mid-19th century cottages. They feature a flint and brick mosaic with brick dressings and a dentil cornice, topped by a pantile roof. The symmetrical facade consists of two bays with flanking cross wings. Each cottage has contemporary three-light casements and boarded doors set under segmental arches, with doors located at the far sides of the central bays and adjacent windows positioned in the center and above. There are ground and first floor windows in the cross wings, and three axial chimney stacks are located at the center, left, and right of the central bays. These cottages are noted for being externally unaltered.
