Description
The barn at Kendles Farm is an 18th-century structure built from coursed flint and topped with pantiles. It features eight bays and five steads, with a brick-capped coursed flint plinth. The barn has blocked ventilation slits and two large doors on the north side. The roof is supported by staggered purlins and collars, with struts extending from the tie beams to the adjacent collars. Inside, there is a herringbone brick threshing floor at the west opening. The east gable includes two lozenge-shaped honeycombed brick vents and weather boarding above the eaves, while the west gable has an owl hole and a continuous outshut at the rear. The barn is included for its group value.
