Description

Nos 25 and 27 on West Street are a pair of estate cottages built in the mid-19th century. They feature flint walls with yellow brick dressings, including quoins, cambered arches with keys, and chamfered openings. The cottages have a tile roof and a symmetrical south front with a central double gable. They are two storeys high and have a window arrangement of 1.1.1.1. The ground floor includes splayed bays with hipped tile roofs and cast-iron 'Tudor' casements. The doors are plain and are complemented by timber-framed porches that have pediment roofs made of scalloped tiles. Additionally, there are terracotta Tudor chimneys.
