Description

Nos 585 and 586 on Hammond Street are a pair of mid-19th century cottages. They are constructed from coursed rubble and feature a hipped tiled roof with a central brick chimney. The buildings are two storeys high and have a four-window arrangement. The ground floor openings are set under segmental arches and contain 2-light casements. Number 585 includes a 20th-century stone porch with a 20th-century panelled door, as well as a 20th-century extension. These cottages are part of a group of similar estate cottages.
