Description

Styles Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating to the late 17th century, with a later 19th-century extension. It is located in the village of Styles. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed rubble, with a slate roof featuring stone slate verges and gable ends. Brick stacks likely mark the original ends of the house. The north facade is partly hidden by a later outshut, which obscures remains of the 17th-century facade. The farmhouse has two storeys and a four-window range. It retains three-light wooden casements containing horizontal glazing bars. A two-light 19th-century casement with glazing bars is set within a brick surround to the left. The west gable has a square-headed 17th-century window of two lights, with a returned label and a small blocked light. Internally, two 17th-century three-light stone windows are visible within the original facade.
