Description

No 584 on Hammond Street is a pair of cottages, now converted into a single cottage, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and features a hipped tiled roof with a central brick chimney stack. It has two storeys and a four-window range. The ground floor openings are set under segmental arches, and the original doors on the front have been blocked. The first floor has 20th-century metal casements with horizontal glazing bars. This cottage is part of a group of similar estate cottages.
