Description

Marula and No. 601 are a pair of mid-19th century cottages located on Hammond Street in Mappowder. They are constructed from coursed rubble and feature a hipped tiled roof with a central brick chimney. The cottages are two stories high and have a four-window range. Marula has three-light 20th-century metal casements with horizontal glazing bars in enlarged openings, along with a gabled porch and a part-glazed door. No. 601 features two-light casements, with the ground floor window having glazing bars. These cottages are part of a group of similar estate cottages.
