R.G Pooley, (Grocers)

R.G. Pooley is a shop built around 1800, located in East Rudham on The Green. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and covered with black glazed pantiles. The building has three storeys and two bays. The ground floor features a tripartite wooden and glazed shop front from the late 19th century. The north and south window bays have panelled dados and consist of three lights with glazing bar divisions and arched heads, returning as single lights. The angle divisions are adorned with moulded console bracket heads, an entablature, and a flat roof. There are two central glazed doors with a panelled dado base. On the first floor, there are two large pane sashes with glazing bars, while the second floor has two sashes that are two panes in height, also with glazing bars. The roof is hipped. Attached to the south is a two-storey lean-to wing, which has a boarded door on the ground floor and a single sash with glazing bars on the first floor.
