Description
Poole House, also known as The Old Rectory, is a late 18th-century rectory that has been divided into two dwellings. It features a smooth rendered and colourwashed exterior with a tiled roof, coped verges, and end brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical frontage, standing two storeys high with three bays. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows set in framed reveals, while the ground floor has 4:12:4 pane sash windows in similar reveals. A central 20th-century three-quarter glazed door is topped by a 20th-century wooden hood supported by two posts. There are single bay wings of lower height set back on each side; the right wing has sash windows with glazing bars, and the ground floor window is set in a large semi-circular head niche with an emphasised key. The left wing features a similar blank niche. Inside, there are panelled window shutters.
