Description
The Lodge is a lodge to Halswell House, located on the roadside in Goathurst Village. It was built in the early 19th century and features a rendered exterior with a hipped thatched roof that has deep eaves supported by rustic poles, creating a verandah. The building is designed in a picturesque cottage ornee style with a T-plan layout. It has diamond-paned casements with leaded lights and a plain square-headed door opening with a plank door. This lodge is an important feature along the roadside.
