Description
Bank Buildings is a shop dating from around 1830, located on Castle Street in Eye. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and has a roof made of black-glazed pantiles. It stands two storeys high and features a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door set within a doorcase that has a hood supported by consoles. On either side of the door, there are plate-glass shop display windows, each framed by timber pilasters and topped with a canopy hood. The right-hand display window hood also covers a second half-glazed door. On the first floor, there are three unhorned sash windows with vermiculated keyblocks; the central window has 6/6 panes, while the outer windows have 5/10 panes. The building has a gabled roof and an internal gable-end stack on the north side.
