Description
The Crown Public House is a 17th-century building with late 19th-century details, located on The Green in East Rudham. The facade is pebble dashed, with flint and brick dressed returns, and it is topped with black glazed pantiles. The structure is two storeys high and features four windows on each floor. The ground floor has four irregularly spaced large pane plate glass sashes with glazing bars, while the first floor has four regularly spaced windows. There is an off-centre 20th-century porch addition. The building has coped end gable parapets with brick stacks. The north gable contains blocked 17th-century openings with brick dressing and label stop heads. Attached to the northeast is a 17th-century two-storey wing that has blocked openings on both the ground and first floors and a steeply pitched roof. The building is included for its group value.
