Description
The barn at Home Farm, located 15 meters east of Home Farmhouse, was built in 1861 and is part of a model farmyard. It is constructed from gault brick and features a slate roof. The barn has two storeys and is divided into three bays, which are marked by central and clasping corner pilasters and a first floor string course, creating a facade with six recessed panels. The central bay includes a sliding door, while each side bay has a honeycomb ventilation panel set within a circular-headed recess. A moulded brick eaves cornice runs below the gabled roof. The returns of the barn are similar in style but consist of only one bay.
