Description

The barn at Home Farm is a late 18th-century structure built from rubble stone and topped with a stone slate roof. It features a prominent gabled cart entry in the center of the northwest side, which includes a timber lintel and double timber doors, along with tiered dovecot perches in the gable. To the left, there is a small lean-to with a small doorway. On the southeast side, there is an opposed gabled entry. The barn consists of six bays and is supported by triple X-braced trusses. Slit vents are present throughout the building. This barn is part of a closely-knit and well-preserved group that includes Home Farmhouse and a stable block.
