Description
Old Farm House is a large farmhouse, likely built in the 17th century or early 18th century, with a slightly older section on the left. The building is constructed of rubble stone, partly limewashed, and features a stone slate roof with stone end stacks on the main range. The main front range is two storeys high and has a long rear cross wing that was enlarged in the 20th century, along with a smaller single storey and attic wing to the left.
The main range has three windows, consisting of 3/2/3-light wood casements, all featuring concreted lintels. There are wider 3-light windows on each side of the ground floor, and a central 20th-century door and doorcase with a flat stone hood. The small wing to the left has one large gable with a small 3-light wood mullion and a timber lintel, and below it, there is a similar window with a concrete lintel and a 3-light wood casement with a timber lintel to the right. Additionally, there is a mounting block adjacent to the left-hand return. The rear of the house includes a 20th-century glazed lean-to, with most windows having timber lintels.
