Description

Former farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-18th century, now converted into three adjoining houses. The building is constructed of coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, and has a hipped concrete tile roof. There are two stone stacks with brick flues to the front range along the street, and one brick end stack to the cross range. The building forms an 'L' shape, with a small 20th-century infill section at the angle. It is two storeys high, with an attic space in the roof. The front facade, encompassing numbers 2 and 3, features three widely spaced windows with two-light stone mullions and square hoodmolds. The windows have a three-light arrangement on the ground floor, with two doors between them. A plain boarded door, recessed and with a timber lintel, serves number 3 on the left. To the right is a 20th-century six-panel door with glazed upper panels and fielded lower panels, set within a flush stone surround and large stone lintel, serving number 2. The return side has an additional two-light stone mullion with a square hoodmold to number 2. A doorway to number 1 is located to the right, featuring a two-light stone mullion on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor, both with straight dripmoulds.
