Description

Dalby Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the early 18th century, located on Cricklade Street, Poulton. It was originally listed as Sunnyside. The cottage is constructed of coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, and has a stone slate roof and a stone end stack to the east. A large 20th-century extension to the west is not of particular interest. The south front consists of two storeys and an attic. It features two 2-light stone mullion windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, with the central ground floor mullion replacing the original doorway. A similar window is located on the north side of the first floor. Two small hipped dormers are positioned centrally and to the right, each with paired wooden casements. Traces of a removed central gabled porch are still visible on the stonework of the south side.
