Description
This outbuilding, located to the north of the entrance to the Home Farm complex, was built in 1861 and is designed in the form of a pavilion. It is matched by an identical structure situated 10 metres to the south. The building is constructed from gault brick and features a hipped slate roof. It has a square plan and consists of two storeys. The central panels on each front are recessed, creating the appearance of clasping pilasters at the corners. The south front has been altered with brick repairs and the insertion of a 20th-century window on the ground floor. There is a wagon entrance at the rear beneath the 20th-century window.
Additionally, a boundary wall runs to the north, featuring pilaster buttresses at intervals, each topped with simple stepped brick capitals. The wall has an intermittent saw-toothed eaves cornice and a plain parapet. There is a blocked secondary farmyard entrance that is taller than the rest of the wall, with piers that project through the parapet.
