Description

The barns at Home Farm date from the 18th century and are constructed of brick with a corrugated roof, which likely replaced the original thatch. The structure consists of two buildings positioned at right angles to each other. The barn aligned with the street features blocked central doors, diamond vents, and a two-light window with a cambered brick head. The gable of the second barn includes an upper loading door, also with a cambered brick head, and has moulded kneelers supporting the coped gable. There are various blocked openings along its long side. The two barns are connected by a small full-height section of wall that contains a round-headed archway.
