Description

Compton House is an early 19th-century brick house located on the north side of Main Street in Theddingworth. It has three storeys and four bays, with an additional bay to the left of the doorway. The entrance is set in a flat-roofed porch that features a shouldered outer arch. The door is recessed and has panelled rebates. The windows are triple light sashes, although the window to the right of the doorway is blind on each floor. The attic features 12-light sash windows, all with ironstone sills and voussoirs. The house has stone-coped gables and dentilled eaves, with gable end stacks, the left one projecting and having large curved flues.
