Description
The Cottage is a cottage located on Main Street in Theddingworth, with its front dating from the early 19th century, although it is built on an earlier structure that may date back to the 16th or 17th century. The building features brick construction at the front and rear, while the gable walls are made of mud. It has a low two-storey design with a two-unit plan. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door that is sheltered by a canopy supported by console brackets. The cottage has two-light casement windows with cambered brick heads, and there is a single two-light casement window on the first floor above the doorway. A wooden eaves cornice runs along the roofline, which is covered with Welsh slate. The building has both gable and axial stacks.
