Description

May Cottage is a cottage that dates from the late 18th century, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick featuring scattered burnt headers and has a 20th-century concrete tile roof with a brick ridge stack. There is a disused external gable stack.

The west front of the cottage has three storeys and two bays. The entrance is an off-centre part-glazed six-panel door set in a plain surround with a flat arch. To the left of the door is a single four-light casement window with a moulded wooden cornice. Above this, there is a three-light casement window, and to its right, a two-light casement window. The upper storey, added in the 19th century, mirrors this arrangement with the same style of windows, all of which are 20th-century casements with flat arches.
