Description

The Surgery is a mid-18th century building originally serving as a miller's house, now functioning as a private residence with part of it used as a surgery. The structure is made of brick and has a rendered front with a slate roof. It stands three storeys tall, featuring a panelled door on the right, which is set beneath an entablature supported by fluted columns. The ground floor has five late 19th-century sash windows, while each of the upper floors has three sash windows. There are flat string courses separating the storeys, and rendered quoins on the west side. The roof is gabled at the front and has a Mansard style at the rear, with tumbling in the gable heads and internal end stacks.
