Description

Moulsham House is a late 18th-century house, incorporating an earlier core, located on the High Street in Stoke Ferry. It was formerly used, in part, as a bank. The house is constructed of colourwashed brick, flint, and clunch, with a concrete tile roof. It is two storeys and has an attic. The facade is irregular, reflecting a change in the roofline to the west. The entrance door is located to the left of centre, set within panelled reveals and a pilastered surround that supports a flat entablature. Above and to the left of the door, there is a chamfered set-back of the fascia line, formerly associated with the bank premises, now containing two renewed sash windows. A single sash window is located to the right of the door, and three sash windows are present on the first floor, all dating to the late 20th century. There is an irregular disposition of late 20th-century casement windows on each floor to the west. The roof is gabled, with a hipped section to the east, and features two flat-topped dormers. Two ridge stacks are present.
