Description
Deanscroft House is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of The Hill in Stoke Ferry. It is constructed of gault brick and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and is arranged in five bays, with the central bay being recessed. The entrance consists of a central panelled and fielded door set within a timber case, topped by a flat hood supported by scrolled brackets. The house has sash windows, all fitted with glazing bars and positioned under slightly segmental gauged arches. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the roofline, with the dentils doubled in the recessed bay. The roof is gabled, with a west gable stack shared with the adjacent house, an internal east gable stack, and a ridge stack located to the right of centre. There is also a one-bay eastern extension from the early 19th century that features sash windows similar to those on the main house, as well as a full-height two-storey outshut at the rear.
