Description

Mill House is a mid-18th century mill house, now functioning as an antique shop. It has two storeys and attics, arranged in an irregular L-plan with two ranges. There are 19th century additions to the front and left side. The building is constructed of gault brick and features a tiled mansard roof with a dentil eaves cornice, two external side stacks, and one end stack. It has three dormers and three early 19th century flush frame hung sashes with glazing bars that intersect at the head, along with two similar sashes on the ground floor. The entrance is located in an early 19th century two-storey gault brick and slate addition, featuring a doorcase with a moulded architrave and a six-panelled door. Mill House is connected to the mill by an early 19th century two-storey range, which is built of gault brick and red brick and has a hipped slate roof.
