Description
Mill House is an early 18th century house that features two storeys and attics, arranged in an L-plan. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has end stacks. The exterior is made of colour-washed brick and includes three hipped dormers, each fitted with horizontal sliding sash windows set in moulded architraves. At the first floor, there is a symmetrical arrangement of three modern casement windows. Canted bay windows are located on either side of the central doorway, which is accompanied by one original hung sash window with glazing bars. The entrance has a modern panelled door and there is a band between the storeys. Inside, the floor frames consist of slender joists and rough-cut main beams. The Mill, which was associated with the house, was demolished in 1958, but some gears remain in the grounds. Additionally, there are weather-boarded and pantiled timber-framed barns and an open hovel to the north that were once part of the Mill's operations.
