Description

The Old Cottage is a late 16th century cottage located on the south side of Church Street in Hemingford Grey. It features timber framing with colour-washed brick infill and has a plain, old tile roof. A gault brick ridge stack with a string course is present. The cottage is one storey with attics and includes two gabled dormers. The windows are modern casements with leaded lights. Inside, part of the original framing of the plaster chimney remains intact. To the left, there is a modern brick and tile extension, which is also one storey with attics and two gabled dormers. The property has a garage entry and a classical style doorway.
