Description

The Cock Public House is an early 18th century house located on the north side of High Street in Hemingford Grey. It features colour-washed brick and has an L-plan layout. The roof is covered with old plain tiles and has tumbled parapet gables with kneelers. There are end stacks made of gault brick. The building is two-storeys tall and has a band between the floors. It includes segmental headed arches above two horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, as well as one blind window. There are similar windows and arches above two central doorways, which have moulded architraves; one doorway features a 19th century door with four flush panels. To the right, there is a modern single-storey wing.
