Description
Old Bell House is a house that was formerly an inn, built in two phases. The original structure dates back to around 1600 and features a timber frame with a rendered bay. To the west, there is a slightly projecting bay made of brick, which was added in the late 17th century or early 18th century, also rendered. The house has a tiled roof with end stacks and stands two storeys high, each level containing two 20th-century windows. The entrance is located in a 20th-century porch. The west gable end displays decorative bands at the eaves height and between the storeys, along with two elliptical windows. Inside, the timber framing is visible and shows similarities in bracing to Pepys House and No. 28 Huntingdon Road.
