Description

This barn, located 50 meters west of Paradise Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick, with some carstone, and features a pantiled roof. The barn is a single storey and has a central doorway that has been rebuilt to full height. There are slit lights on the east and west sides. The gabled roof has parapeted gable ends and intricate tumbling. Inside, the roof structure consists of tie beams supported by straight braces, with two tiers of staggered butt purlins and collars.
