Description
South Lodge to Stradsett Hall is an early 19th-century lodge built of gault brick with slate roofs, designed in an L shape and consisting of one storey. The southern section features a hexagonal canted bay with a hipped roof that is positioned at right angles to the main part of the building. The entrance has a 4-centred door adorned with applied intersecting tracery in the Gothick style. The windows, both in the bay and throughout the lodge, have 2-light Y tracery set under gauged 4-centred arches, all of which retain their leaded lights. The eaves are decorated with a paired modillion cornice. The northern range has a gabled roof with a ridge stack located to the left of centre.
