Description
Avondale Farmhouse is a farmhouse that features 17th century fabric with 18th and 20th century details. It has a colourwashed plaster render on brick and clunch, topped with a smut pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three windows. On the ground floor, there are two inserted 21st century casements, while the first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars. The central door is framed by an architrave with console brackets and a baseless pediment head, topped with a sunburst fanlight made of painted wood. The door itself is a six-panel design, with the two upper panels being glazed. The roof is steeply pitched and features brick coped parapets. There are external stacks on the gables, with a substantial stack on the south side that has multiple set-offs.
