Description

This barn, located 40 meters north-west of Abbey Farmhouse, dates from the mid-17th century. It features a timber frame with wattle and daub infill, along with some brick elements. The exterior is weatherboarded and topped with a gabled pantile roof. The barn has central full-height double wagon doors and a brick plinth. Inside, it has a close studded structure, with tie beams supported by short arched braces. There are struts to the principals, collars with upper clasped purlins, and lower butt purlins, as well as some windbracing present.
