Description

Carlton Cottage is a house that dates back to the 16th or 17th century. It has a timber frame and was extended and refronted in the early to mid-19th century and the 20th century. The exterior features painted plaster and stucco, with an old tile roof. The building has two storeys and includes three flush sash windows, with the first-floor windows set in architrave frames. A mid-19th century gabled porch made of tiles has a chamfered surround and a carved bargeboard. There is a 19th century slate roof lean-to on the right side and a 20th century lean-to on the left side.
