Description

The Manor House and West Manor are a house dating to circa 1800, with extensions added in the mid-19th century to the north and south. The house is constructed of red brick with blue brick headers on the extensions, and has slate roofs. It is two to three storeys high with a cellar. The mid-19th century windows are casements with louvred shutters. The house features dentilled brick eaves and a pediment. The slightly projecting central section has a deep Roman Doric porch with a curved entablature and mutuled cornice. The south elevation is pedimented. The projecting north extension, known as West Manor, is one window wide and has floor and cornice bands, bracketed eaves, and a modern console doorcase. The interior of the main block contains good cornice and dado detail.
