Description

The walls, railings, and gates surrounding the churchyard of St Mary's Parish Church were built in the mid to late 19th century. They feature a low wall made of red brick with stone coping. The cast iron railings and gates follow the curve of Church Street and Codicote Road. The railings alternate between three-spiked and spear-headed designs. The square gate posts are decorated with traceried cast iron, topped with finials and crenellation. The gates include quatrefoil bands. This structure is included for its group value.
