Description

No 4 High Street is a house and shop that dates back to the 17th century, featuring a timber frame composite range. The front of the building was plastered in the 19th century and is topped with a fish scale tile roof. It has two storeys with two first-floor sash windows set in moulded frames, while the ground floor has been modernized for shop use. There is a floor band and bracketed eaves. The south elevation facing the alley displays an external 17th-century red brick chimney stack, which has a plinth and sloped set offs. The rear blocks are unpainted and stuccoed.
