Description
The Wellington Inn Hotel is a public house that likely dates back to the early 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with a plastered jettied gabled center. The building has red brick facades with three and four window fronts added around 1725 on the north and south sides. The roof is covered with machine tiles, and there is a moulded and painted brick cornice with modillions. A semicircular mullioned sash window is located at the jetty, with segmental-headed flush sash windows on either side. The left side of the building has triple-hung sash windows on the ground floor and three box dormers above. The north gable end displays a combination of half timber and brick nogging. The doorway features a reused window lintel that shows slots for shutters and holes for diamond mullions.
