Description

Brook Cottage is a house that dates back to the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber-framed structure, with some of the timber-framing and plaster infilling exposed on the east wall. The south front is stuccoed on the ground floor and tile-hung above. The building has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof topped with a brick chimneystack. The front elevation includes two 20th-century sash windows that fit within the original openings, along with two curved bay windows on the ground floor, also from the 20th century. There is a doorcase on the right side that is topped with a pedimented hood.
