Description
Sewells Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior. The roof is hipped and covered with red plain tiles. The building has two storeys and features a two-window range with 20th-century small paned casements. The eaves project outward, and there is a central four-panelled door flanked by two lights. The doorcase is decorated with paterae on the frieze, an open pediment, and plain pilasters. There are off-centre external red brick chimney stacks on the right side. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, and there is an inglenook fireplace with a straight mantel beam.
