Description
The Half Moon is a public house dating from the 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure topped with a thatched roof, which has two curved dormers and 19th-century casement windows. The building is one storey high with attics and has a two-window range of small-paned vertical sliding sashes. An enclosed thatched gabled porch includes a 20th-century vertically boarded door. There is a central red brick chimney stack, along with another red brick chimney stack on a single-storey thatched extension to the left. Additionally, there is a single-storey forward crosswing extension to the left, constructed from matching materials and featuring a semi-circular 20th-century bay window at the front. A date plaque on the front wall indicates the year 1685.
