Description
Mulberry House is a house dating from the 19th century, constructed with a main range of red brick and featuring two 17th-century timber-framed and plastered ranges to the right. The building has red plain tiled roofs throughout and stands two storeys high. The front facade displays a window arrangement of two sets of two 19th-century vertical sliding sashes and one additional window, which are complemented by some 17th-century windows located at the rear.
A notable feature is the 19th-century open gabled porch, which includes twisted balusters, crenellated wall plates, and batten decoration at the gable apex. The entrance consists of a vertically boarded door with a two-centre arched head and ornate iron hinges. The main range is topped with a red brick attached diagonal shaft chimney stack, while the right range has a rectangular red brick stack. The main range showcases good 19th-century detailing, and there is an exposed timber and later brick staircase in the right range. A rainwater pipe on the building is marked with the date 1864.
