Description

Lantern Cottage is a cottage, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier. It was originally divided into three cottages. The building is timber framed and has been plastered, with a thatched roof. It has three gabled dormers. The front features a three-window range of 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, and a central vertically boarded door. There are two red brick chimney stacks. Inside, there are three original inglenook fireplaces, one of which is back-to-back, with one having a moulded mantel beam. Additionally, there are original bread ovens.
