Description

Hancox is a restored timber-framed house, dating from the 15th century, with later additions from the 18th and late 19th centuries. The north-east gable displays exposed timber framing with plaster infill, while the rest of the house has been refaced with red brick tile-hanging or cement. Brick chimney breasts are present, and the roof is tiled. Casement windows are a feature. A south-east wing, constructed in the 18th century, is faced with cement. A north-west wing was added in the late 19th century, built of red brick and with tile-hanging, and has two storeys and three windows.
