Description

Rowan Cottage is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with plaster, and part of the exterior is cased in flint with red brick dressings. The roof is covered with red plain tiles and has both hipped and half-hipped sections. The building has two storeys and includes a crosswing at the south end. The windows consist of a three-window range with 19th and 20th century casements, as well as 19th century horizontal sliding sashes that have glazing bars. There is a red brick chimney stack, and the rear of the house has 20th century extensions. A 20th century gabled porch has also been added.
